I’ve flown away and left behind The doldrum world below. I’m dancing far among the stars And shall not return too soon. I’m soaring high and sailing far So high above the blue. I exist now in a deep dark velvet And my companion, not my partner, is the moon. The earth is so very far gone And as I gaze around, The lights below that encompass the globe Are stars that almost rival those above. I’ve gone to Never-Never Land On a pirate ship with magic sails.  …Ummmmm…okay I need to know what rhymes with ‘to’ I really can’t find so many rhyming words The dictionary’s assistance is somewhat faulty The thesaurus doesn’t really help …Oh, well…here goes A Poem: I have to write a poem-my teacher told me to I’m forced to write a poem-it’s making me quite blue Instead, how ‘bout a compound simile?  Or delicate haiku?
